how to add minecraft to steam

Is there a way to add Minecraft to steam but not the launcher?

Any help is appreciated

I think you're misunderstanding.

There's a function to add non-Steam games, just already sitting in Library screen.

Or maybe he can just simply create a shortcut with Windows that launches the game directly instead :P

If you can bypass the launcher (which honestly is required nonetheless since you need it for changing versions or settings, or logging with different accounts), then yes. Otherwise, no.

According to Google, Minecraft PE doesn't require launcher. The game launches immediately with a start screen.

That is preety futile, we have more games better than minecraft on steam, like teraria or legos,,,,design-like.

He isnt talking about adding the game on the store only in his library there is an option to add non steam games to your library
